TSE is the largest tourism organisation in England, outside London. Its
principal activity is the promotion of tourism in central southern and south
east England covering some 19,000 square kilometres.
It has seven sub regions with their own tourism priorities to ensure a meaningful local focus for the industry. These sub regions are:
- TOURISM Berks Bucks Oxon
- Tourism Hampshire
- Isle of Wight Tourist Board
- Tourism Surrey
- Tourism West Sussex
- Tourism East Sussex
- Kent Tourism
In addition TSE has the following specialist departments: Skills and Training, Marketing, Membership, Research, Development, E-Business, Visitor Services and Quality Assurance.

The ESF is a European Union initiative to support activities to promote
employment opportunities for all. About £3.7 billion of ESF
is available in England in the programme from 2000 to 2006. This
online provision was created to ‘help develop the skills of
employed people within the tourism, hospitality and leisure sector’.

SEEDA is the Regional Development Agency for the South East, is responsible
for the sustainable economic development and regeneration of the South
East of England - the driving force of the UK's economy.

The LSC is responsible for planning and funding high-quality vocational
education and training for everyone. Their vision is that by 2010, young
people and adults in England have the knowledge and skills matching the
best in the world and are part of a fiercely competitive workforce. Their
single goal is to improve the skills of England's young people and adults
to make sure we have a workforce that is of world-class standards.
