Smarter Marekting (Welcome E-Business)

This provides participants with the information they need to maximise their e-business potential and reach global markets.  It combines an introduction to marketing with an overview of e-business and e-marketing techniques. It provides practical ideas on promoting your business by learning how to use the media and getting publicity, as well as providing an enjoyable, interactive and thought provoking learning experience.

Respecting differences and disabilities

Welcome all

This offers practical advice and guidance on providing a service to customers with disabilities and specific needs.  The training programme covers a range of sensory, mobility and learning disabilities, and concentrates on an individual’s responsibility for effective communication, enhancing accessibility and delivering a high quality service to customers with special needs.  It also ensures that participants are aware of the key provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act.

Managing the customer experience

Welcome management

This aims to help managers and owners of tourism businesses develop the understanding, skills and competencies needed for effective business management.  It concentrates on measuring key elements of business effectiveness, reviewing the quality of your team’s customer service, and customer service strategy.  Topics covered include: understanding your business situation, setting objectives, building customer relationships, monitoring and evaluating progress, planning and implementing improvements.

This training programme builds on and extends the knowledge and skills developed in Welcome Host. Welcome International

The Welcome International training programme is designed for those whose work brings them into contact with overseas visitors from non-English speaking markets.  It provides a basic introduction to key phrases in 2 foreign languages selected from Arabic, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese Mandarin, Chinese, Norwegian and Spanish.  It also gives participants an appreciation into cultural differences to help them improve service standards.
